During summer vacation, a group of 15 children discover a mysterious man living in a seashore cave, along with his high-tech gadgets. The man claimed to be a game developer creating a video game with 15 giant robots defending Earth from alien invaders and asked those childs to test the game for him. The kids agreed happily at first, but soon they began to find the game horrifying, not only because of its realism but also for the first fatality among them happened right after their first victory. Worse yet, they had no idea how to stop or leave the "game."
A school battle action & love comedy with ecchi elements. Yachi Haruaki is a high school boy and naturally resistant to curses. The concurrence of Rukia and Ichigo leads to many adventures, with a lot of humor along the way. Ichigo helps Rukia fight off Hollows and keep the town safe. The story continues with many twists and turns with action, adventure and comedy.

The story of the anime centers around a girl named Youko Nakajima from Japan, who is suddenly transported to another world and eventually discovers that she is the queen of the kingdom of Kei. This novel, and thus anime, follow the general Monomyth pattern, but several twists and inversions of the pattern give them originality.

These six shadows call themselves the Black Knights, and for an unknown reason wish to kill Kakeru and friends. The teenagers wind up coming across a girl with flowing silver hair wearing a white dress, trapped in a red crystal. Her name is Lisette. She claims that she is being held captive and asks for their help. The Black Knights prevent them from doing anything and begin referring to Kakeru's friends as fragments and to Kakeru as "the bearer of the Eye of Aeon". As they go on trying to survive, the six teenagers gradually form bonds and begin to work together in order to defeat the Black Knights, in the hopes that this will end the Red Night (phenomenon) once and for all.
