Betty Boop's Rise to Fame: A reporter, played by Dave Fleischer, interviews Max Fleischer about cartoon sensation Betty Boop. Max paints Betty, who comes to life and performs routines from the popular past films Stopping the Show (1932), Betty Boop's Bamboo Isle (1932) and The Old Man of the Mountain (1933). Betty then dives back in to the inkwell and accidentally splashes ink in the reporter's face before the film concludes.

Le moine et le poisson: A plump and exuberant monk goes fishing, and a playful fish eludes him. First the monk uses a rod and reel, then a net; over and over, he ends up fish-less and wet. Sleepless, he tries luring the fish at night with a bank of candles. He tries a bow and arrow. The tireless and insouciant fish leads the monk through a viaduct, over irrigated steppes, across cisterns, down canals. Suddenly, the monk's chase and the fish's teasing flight become a spiritual journey.

Wild Waves (1929) - animation / comedy / family / musical
Wild Waves: At the beach, Minnie is swept out to sea by a wave (while still wearing her high heels!). Mickey struggles with a rowboat (taken from atop an amorous couple) before swimming out to save her. When Minnie comes ashore, she is disoriented and depressed, so Mickey and the various creatures on the shore (pelicans, a walrus, seals, etc.) do a little song and dance to cheer her up.

The Delivery Boy: Delivery boy Mickey encounters Minnie washing clothes and singing. He stops for a quick song and dance with her. Meanwhile, Pluto gets tangled up in tar. Mickey sends a beehive flying; it lands on his mule, who kicks Mickey's instrument-filled wagon into the air. He plays a march or two on the piano with Minnie, with many animals playing along.
