Christmas trees have been subject to the process of planting and harvesting for decades. It is a practice that needs to stop. At least that is what the trees think. This brings forth a march of destruction wherein every human being within sight of these noble pines will be grotesquely butchered. With the blood and flesh from grannies and babies alike, these creatures bring you gore and carnage en masse!
The stooges are gypped into trading their restaurant for "Thunderbolt", a washed up race horse. When Curly feeds Thunderbolt some chili pepperinos, he runs like crazy towards the nearest water. The boys enter Thunderbolt in a big race. With jockey Larry feeding Thunderbolt the pepperinos, and Moe and Curly on a motorcycle leading him with a bucket of water, they win the race.
The Hardys, hoping to avoid having the Laurels drop in and spoil their quiet evening, pretend not to be home when the couple inevitably call. Betty Boop's Rise to Fame: A reporter, played by Dave Fleischer, interviews Max Fleischer about cartoon sensation Betty Boop. Max paints Betty, who comes to life and performs routines from the popular past films Stopping the Show (1932), Betty Boop's Bamboo Isle (1932) and The Old Man of the Mountain (1933). Betty then dives back in to the inkwell and accidentally splashes ink in the reporter's face before the film concludes.
Charlie is an expert bricklayer. He has lots of fun and work and enjoys himself greatly while at the saloon. As he leaves work his wife takes the pay he has hidden in his hat. But he steals her purse so he can go out for the evening.

The Unappreciated Joke: Scene, interior of a street-car. A stout man enters and sits down alongside of a friend and proceeds to read a comic paper. He shows a joke in the paper to his friend, and the both laugh heartily. The friend leaves the car, and his absence is not noted by the stout man. An elderly matron takes the seat. Without looking up the stout man shoves the paper in front of the face of the old lady, thinking his friend is still there. He goes into a fit of laughter over the joke, punching her in the ribs with his thumb, and slapping her on the knee. She becomes very much embarrassed and indignant. She shakes him by the shoulder, he looks around, discovers his mistake, and sinks through the floor.
